In the 6th round of the K&H men's handball league, the ETO University Handball Team will host the club world champion Veszprém HC. The meeting will start on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 5 p.m. in the Audi Arena Győr. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for the match, for which a limited number of tickets are still available at jegymester.hu.
The team led by Bálint Kilvinger has an unblemished record in the league so far, having won all five matches. In the first round, they achieved a 31-30 victory against Budakalász with a dramatic finish, while in the second round, they bested Eger by nine goals (26-35). In the third round, they defeated Csurgó 35-27 at home, and a week later, won against Gyöngyös by six goals (32-26). Most recently, they triumphed over PLER-Budapest on the road (31-38).
Our opponent on Sunday will be none other than Veszprém HC, the current club world champion. The Bakony team is also undefeated in the domestic championship, winning all five rounds so far. On Thursday evening, Veszprém played a Champions League match against Danish club Fredericia HK, securing a 34-32 victory, but unfortunately, Yehia Elderaa suffered a serious injury during the game.
The referee duo, Krisztián Héjja and Balázs Kónya will officiate the match.
We would like to remind our fans that entry to the match will be through the main entrance of the Audi Arena Győr, and parking will be available in the gravel lot on Pesti út and the asphalt lot on Tóth László út.
For fans arriving to the away sector, entry will be at the Guest entry point, and parking is available in the Kiskút Ligeti út parking lot.
